This is the Saint which appears to Virgin Mary, also called Angel of Revelation, Spirit of Truth
This piece of art, is another excellent representation of the Colonial Peruvian style named “Cuzco school of painting” (Escuela Cuzquena de pintura). The school flourished during Peruvian Colonial times (1550-1824) and is characterized by representing religious images, consisting mostly of saints and angels. The influence of Catholicism brought to Peru by the Spaniards gave birth to this particular style. This embellished oil painting was made using the CUZCO school style, and would richly enhance any wall.
The paintings of this style have a touch of gold leaf, over some of the colors to achieve a delightful combination and enhance the final representation. It is a desirable, beautiful decoration, or a piece of art/religion collection, that will caught the eyes of anyone in a room.
The paint is in good condition and measure 15″x12″ approx.. It is not stretched or framed. And it will be shipped rolled up.
